Keroivim

Orthodox life is beautiful.
At times, it can also feel suffocating.

Feeling trapped doesn't mean you are. You have more options than you might think — and we're here to help you find yours, at your own pace, without losing the people you love.

How We Help

A thoughtful path to clarity

Our process is designed to help you understand yourself, explore your options, and protect the relationships that matter most to you.

Phase 01

Listening Without Judgment

We start by simply hearing you. In a private, confidential conversation, you can say what you've never been able to say out loud — your doubts, your frustrations, your questions. We hold space for all of it without pressure and without agenda. You don't have to have any answers yet.

Phase 02

Clarifying What You Actually Want

Many people who feel the pull to leave are really searching for something specific — meaning, autonomy, understanding, connection. Together, we help you identify what's driving those feelings and what you genuinely need. Often, a path forward emerges that you hadn't considered.

Phase 03

Finding Your Place — Together

With clarity about your goals, we guide you toward a life that feels authentic — one where your relationships with family, friends, and community remain intact. We work with you over time, because finding your place is not a single moment. It's a journey, and you don't have to walk it alone.

Guiding Principles

How we think about this work

01

Evidence-Based

Our program draws on research into the psychological, social, and family dynamics that predict long-term disengagement — so we intervene early, stabilize those at risk, and give them tools to remain connected on their own terms.

02

From Victimhood to Agency

People who return to the community do so when they feel empowered. Our model helps individuals reclaim agency and take ownership of their religious trajectory — rather than living in a state of victimhood.

03

Keeping In, Not Pushing Out

Our posture is affirming and nonjudgmental. Struggle does not mean you don't belong. We are fully committed to keeping individuals anchored through programming that connects people to each other and to communal life.

04

Wellbeing First

This is not an ideological project. The only agenda is wellbeing. Social connection is one of the greatest drivers of health — and one of the biggest losses people face when they leave. We restore that connection.

05

Mediation & Family Repair

Family rupture is the strongest predictor of permanent exit. Active, skilled mediation is built into our DNA — helping parents, spouses, and adult children hear each other and be there unconditionally for one another.

Core Services

Concrete support at every point of need

Keroivim addresses the full spectrum of what drives people to the margins — from family rupture to isolation, from financial stress to spiritual doubt.

A Place to Simply Be

A safe, stable space — like a shul or shtiebel — where you can daven, learn, read, or simply be among people who won't push you away. A genuine alternative to the spaces that pull people out.

Family Reconciliation & Mediation

Family rupture is one of the strongest predictors of permanent exit. A trained mediator works with parents, spouses, and adult children to rebuild communication and trust — before the distance becomes permanent.

Marriage, Divorce & Custody Support

Divorcees are among the most isolated people in the frum world, and isolation drives disengagement. We provide ongoing connection and support — and help strained marriages before they reach that point.

Education & Growth

We partner with established Jewish learning programs to offer accessible, nonjudgmental learning for adults who feel alienated or undereducated — with no strings attached and no agenda beyond growth.

Community Connection

Shabbos and Yom Tov are the loneliest times for those on the margins. We facilitate Shabbos meal referrals, Shabbatonim, and warm family-friendly events designed to bring people closer — not push them apart.

Employment & Professional Support

Practical stability matters. We leverage communal networks to help participants find job leads and mentorship — because financial security is one of the strongest anchors keeping people rooted.

You don't have to figure this out alone

Most people who reach out to Keroivim are not sure they want to leave — they just want their pain to stop and to feel less alone. A conversation costs nothing, and it might change everything.
